Sobriety checkpoint on tap for St. Bernard Parish Friday night

State Police Troop B and the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office will team
up to conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday night in St. Bernard Parish. The
checkpoint will begin at 7 p.m.

The State Police news release does not specify where in the parish the
checkpoint will be set up. Law enforcement routinely advise drivers when,
and in which parish, sobriety checkpoints will be conducted. 

State Police said in 2012 nearly 40 percent of the fatal car crashes in
Louisiana involved alcohol.
