The AARP Tax-Aide, a volunteer program offering free income tax preparation
to taxpayers of low and moderate income while giving emphasis to senior
citizens. AARP volunteers will begin preparing 2013 income tax returns of
limited complexity beginning Feb. 1 through April 15.

Taxpayers must bring picture ID cards, Social Security cards, W-2's, 1099
forms, Social Security benefit statements and all other income and expense
tax documents. They should also bring their homeowners insurance declaration
page and their 2012 income tax return. For information, call at

In Chalmette, tax aide will be available at the St. Bernard Council on Aging
Inc., 8201-A W. Judge Perez Dr., on Thursdays and Fridays by appointment
