Beanbag baseball tournament planned by GNO Senior Olympics March 12 in

The St. Bernard Council on Aging Inc. will host the beanbag baseball
tournament as part of the 2014 Greater New Orleans Senor Olympics March 12
at the St. Bernard Civic Center in Chamette.

About seniors from age 55 through 95 will play. Teams from Jefferson and
Orleans parishes as well as St Bernard Parish will compete. The COA provides
breakfast snacks and lunch for participants and volunteers. Volunteers are
provided by Peoples Health and Humana.

Teams are divided into brackets and play round robin within the brackets.
Medal rounds are then played to determine winners. Gold, silver and bronze
medals are awarded as well as a fourth place ribbon at the closing ceremony.

The public is encouraged to attend. There is no charge to attend.
