School May Be Out, but Healthy Meals are Still In

Christian Fellowship Provides Free Breakfast and Lunch to Students all
Summer Long

Christian Fellowship Church is excited to announce details for their 2014
Summer Feeding Program. During the summer, from June 2nd to July 25th,
breakfast and lunch is provided to the children of St. Bernard at no charge.
The Summer feeding Program will be closed on July 4th.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) program provides nutritious meals to
children who may not otherwise have access to healthy food when school is
out. In St. Bernard, many students rely on free and reduced-price school
lunches and breakfasts. But when the last bell of the school year rings,
those children are at risk of going hungry. The summer food service
program helps close the gap and ensure that these kids have access to
nutritious meals all summer long.

Children 18 and younger may receive free meals through the program. Meals
are also available to persons with disabilities, over age 18, who
participate in school programs for people who are mentally or physically
disabled.

All meals are served at Christian Fellowship Church, 5816 E. Judge Perez
Drive, Violet, La. 70092. Breakfast is served from 8:00am to 9:00am and
Lunch is served 11:00am to 12:00noon Monday through Friday.

If you need more information please contact the church's office at
504-324-4092.
