St. Bernard Parish Government Offices closed in Observance of Independence
Day

 

All non-emergency offices of St. Bernard Parish Government will be closed on
Friday, July 4, 2014 in observance of Independence Day.  Offices will resume
normal business hours on Monday, July 7, 2014.  The public is invited to
attend the 30th Annual St. Bernard Salutes America Celebration on the
grounds of the Sigur Civic Center from 4:30 to 10:00 p.m.

St. Bernard Salutes America's 30th Annual Celebration 

Friday, July 4th - from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Music by "Amanda Shaw and Top Cats

Fireworks Show at 9:00 p.m.

Admission Is Free

  

The St. Bernard Salutes America Committee will host the 30th Annual
Celebration on Friday, July 4th from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. on the Frederick
Sigur Civic Center Grounds located at 8245 W. Judge Perez Drive, Chalmette.
Admission is free.

 

The celebration will include live music by "Amanda Shaw and The Top Cats.
The event will again feature the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest, sponsored by
Stonewalls BBQ, at 6:00 p.m. as well as games, rides, and a spectacular
fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.  

 

Come out, enjoy the fun and support our local vendors who will be offering a
wide variety of food and drinks including pulled pork, chicken and sausage
gumbo, BBQ ribs, corn grits, hamburgers, hot dogs, and nachos. There will
also be other favorites such as gourmet cupcakes, beer, soft drinks,
daiquiris, snowballs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, ice cream and craft
booths.
