Groundbreaking held on a Boat House to be part of the Forty Arpent Canal
Access and Enhancement Project  

 

St. Bernard Parish Officials broke ground on a Boat House that will be part
of the Central Wetlands Unit and Forty Arpent Canal Access and Enhancement
Project at the corner of Benjamin Street and Norwood Drive in Chalmette.
Principal Engineering, Inc. is the A/E Firm and the contractor is Cobalt
Construction, Inc. The cost of the project is $1,509,622.50 with funding
from local bonds and the Louisiana Tourism Restoration Program (LTRP).  The
project is expected to be completed by March, 2015.
