Between all the negative ads on the radio and TV, if you are still trying to figure out who to vote for for Public Service Commission, here is the number one reason to vote for Eric Skrmetta.

Anyone who gets endorsements from all the liberal groups gets a big veto from me.

Dear friends,

Tomorrow's election for Louisiana Public Service Commission - First District is very close -- your vote could make the difference in supporting clean energy in Louisiana. For PSC-1, consider voting tomorrow for Forest Wright.

Of all the positions up for election tomorrow, there’s one that is critically important to the future of Louisiana - the First District Representative to Louisiana’s Public Service Commission. Tomorrow, your vote can be one of a few hundred that will decide the future of clean energy incentives in Louisiana - together we can help Forest Wright win this election.

Forest Wright for years has been an advocate for increased renewable energy, and he’s now running for a seat on the Public Service Commission. The Commission is little known to most people, but it oversees energy utility companies across the entire state. Forest is running against an incumbent beholden to big carbon polluters, who wants to gut incentives for clean energy.

This is a very close race, and it’s likely only a few votes will tip the balance - when you vote tomorrow, consider voting for Forest Wright. Find your polling place here:

Forest has been a visionary in the clean energy community for years: he was the Regulatory Affairs Director of the Alliance for Affordable Energy, a non-profit consumer advocacy group which fights to keep utility prices in check and protect homeowners. Now, he wants to ensure that utility companies must continue to provide equal value for all clean energy produced.

Forest is running with the promise to:

*	Stop monopolies from restricting clean energy production and new jobs
*	Increase consumer choice for energy options and high speed internet
*	Refuse campaign contributions from monopoly companies regulated by the Public Service Commission (unlike the incumbent)

This is one of the most direct and impactful ways we’ve seen to put our votes where our mouths are and help push us towards a greener economy. Louisiana’s Public Service Commission is in a 2-2 split over whether or not to get behind clean energy. Who wins this election will have very large repercussions for the future of clean energy across the south and the whole country. These are the battles we must win if we want to transition to a clean economy.

Please find your polling station here, and consider voting for Forest Wright:

The Avaaz community came together in September to put on climate marches all over the world. Now we’re going local - to try to win the races that will make a difference for clean energy everywhere.

With hope,

John, Ricken, Pete, Nell, Terra and the rest of the Avaaz team
