St. Bernard Parish Councilmembers Attend Super Region Canvas

Three St. Bernard Parish Councilmembers participated in the 2015 Super
Region Canvas. The Benchmarking workshop was held in Phoenix and Tucson,
Arizona April 19 - 21, 2015. This was a joint-venture between the Baton
Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) and Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.) to
travel to the Greater Phoenix (PHX) and Tucson (TUS) regions of Arizona
<http://www.srccanvas.com/about-box/> , more commonly known as the Sun
Corridor to learn best practices from the individual cities and the region.

Councilmembers Guy Mc Innis, Ray Lauga and Casey Hunnicutt attended the
canvass along with Economic Development Director Andrew Jacques and Attorney
Walter Leger, Sr. The delegation of business and community leaders spent
three days and two nights learning from a region that is a national leader
in entrepreneurship, health care, transportation, creative culture, and
technology.

The Southeast Super-Region Committee (SRC) works to foster cooperation for
mutual economic benefit between the Baton Rouge Area, Greater New Orleans,
and the Houma-Thibodeaux region. For more information on the Super Region
