Hey Big Wayne -
I have similar problems with both my legs - from degenerative arthritis - and
found it very frustrating to have to keep going back to the couch to get my
legs up again. So I finally rigged up a "support system" under my workbench
where I carve and paint. It's basically just a couple of cushioned
footstools, but I've elevated them enough that I can put my legs up on them, lean
back a bit in my chair (a cushy secretarial chair on wheels) and never miss a
beat! Works just fine 8 times out of 10.
