Hi Maricha!

Thank you, for the kind comments.  The reason I've continued to enjoy
carving after so many years is that I very much enjoy the process.  And, as
so you so rightly say, the process involves so much more than "removing the
wood."  It challenges us on many levels--not only in manual skill but in
understanding the subject, the material, the composition, even the "music"
of a work of art.   That fact that it "ain't easy" makes it even more fun.
