I hold in my hot, little hands Issue #7 of Carving Magazine. And it is
"Dy-No-Mite"!!!
Our transplanted Washington state SantaCarvingLady, Teri Embrey, has a
fantastic 6 page spread on "Creativity: Finding what you never lost."
Ol' Don Burgdorf has a 5 page spread on "How Expression can change the mood
of your carving". Plus a 2 page pattern spread of a "Celibate ChipMonk".
Ivan Whillock gives a 7 page study on "Body Proportions", both male and
female in many different poses.
Learn to do an "Indian Face in Cottonwood Bark" from our Branson buddy,
Greg Wilkerson, always a great project!
Carving Magazine panel member Lynn Diel offers a "Quick Tip" to extend the
life of your carving glove, plus a step-by-step 7 page article on how to do
a "Wood Spirit Bottle Topper".
Robin Edward Trudel has an great article on ice and snow sculpting ....
Brrrrrrrr! Plus a step-by-step article on carving a rose with a pin back.
In the "Ask Joe" feature, lil' Joe Dillett asks us "Is something bugging
your wood?" He lets us know how to get the bugs OUT!
In CJ's Carving Corner, Chris J. Whillock shows us how to carve a "Rustic
Sign", complete with deer head and lettering.
All that ..... and so much more. Pictures of the "Artistry in Wood"
competition in Dayton, OH. A photo gallery of some great caricature
carvings from the team of Vicki and Phil Bishop.
Once again, Marnie and the staff at Carving Magazine have outdone
themselves. Great job, y'all.
Just wanted everyone to know what to look forward to when you get your
copy.
