Hi Robert
With all of the time and effort put into the bowl, I think that I
would try something
where I have more control than what you can get from something as big,
bulking and as
awkward as a router.
If the wood of the bowl is very hard, a 3 corner file such as is used
to sharpen saws
will do a very nice job on small diameters. Rifflers, the tools that
are used by carvers
who incise designs onto rifle and shotgun stocks are ideal for surfaces
that are flatter
and are designed to work in HARD wood.
