Hi Patti, Well there should be a panel of 3 judges who are carvers,
perhaps a recognizable name among them. carvers who carve different things, such as
a traditional carver, a caricature carver and perhaps a chip carver. There
should be classes, such as beginner, intermediate and advanced. Perhaps a
best of show in each class. 2nd best, and third best. and then an overall BOS
and perhaps a peoples choice. After that each class should be broken down
into categories, such as caricature, human form, realistic wildlife, chip
carving etc.... with a 1st second and third ribbon in each category. perhaps even
honorable mentions. How far you will want to break things down will depend
on how many entries you will have.
