Merrilee,

Carol Jean is not the bear carver, she does cypress knee figures. 
Mainly father Christmas, elves, gnomes, and her signature piece, a tall, 
elegant lady that I think she claims to be the heroine from Gone With 
The Wind.

Carol Jean does classes all around the country and usually is listed in 
the back of Chip Chats magazine with her schedule. She is a wonderful 
teacher that keeps you on your toes for several days and everyone comes 
away with a terrific carving in the end.  I would take a class with her 
again, but failing that so far, I have her book on "Carving Cypress 
Knees" or some similar title.
