I would call it "resourceful"   :)   

Here's a good one for you,  When telemarketers call me I promptly interrupt them and try to sell them a carving.  I almost had a scrimmed ivory bracelet sold to a Sports Illustrated guy but he backed out at the last minute.  I keep interrupting their spiel telling them I have no money for them unless they buy what I'm selling.  Funny...I never have gotten any return calls.   I even have family members across the country trying to sell my carvings or scrimshaw to their telemarketers.   Try it...you just might make a sale.  After all, it's their dime calling you.
I did make one sale....I got a guy to check out my web site and he wanted a set of his pistol grips carved for his revolver.  :)
