[Woodcarver] relief carving

Floyd - I highly recommend Laura Irish's books. I have a bunch of them on relief carving and I think I like hers the best. Haven't seen Chris Pye's though. Laura's have easily understood directions. She has patterns that you will enjoy doing  and tells you how to change the pattern to make it your own.

However, that being said, each carver will find patterns that they will like in books by different authors. So look them over before you buy. Try to get somewhere where there is a vendor that has them all on display. Fredericksburg is coming up soon in Texas. Scoot on over and check it out.
