Gene,

Welcome to the list. I ran across your site a while back when I was
researching automata (especially the all wood, hand cranked style) and I
think your work is awesome. Wish more of your web site showed the pieces in
motion. Not sure which is my favorite. the "Golfer Santa and Gopher" or
"Harold and Orville" <G>. The variety of ways you employ the electronics
are genius.

I think you're on the right track for "getting the word out". Just MTCW,
but I would present your dog with the same type of finished base you have
the others on (with the workings still exposed though). The one you have now
looks a little too "prototype".

Hey, instead of a CD, have ya ever considered doing "Harold and Orville"
with a unit from one of those "Animated Singing Bass" monstrosities? It
takes a little computer magic to reload it with music and the animation
signals, but I've been told it's doable <G>.

Keep on Carvin'

Hi, I just joined the mailing list. I have done animated woodcarvings for
several years and after many requests finally designed an easy to carve and
animate dog with a wagging tail. The energy source is a solar battery. I'm
trying to get the message out and would appreciate any assistance you can
give as to how to proceed. You can see the dog and the instructions at the
website below. Thanks.
