Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share the good news. Don has finished his radiation
treatments 
and his chemo treatments for the lung cancer. The scans yesterday showed
that 
there is no sign of lung cancer cells in his brain, chest or abdoman. And
the 
kidney cancer has remained unchanged since the last scan a couple of months
ago.

The only bad news is that once again, Don needed to get blood tranfusions 
overnight. For the last 4 chemo sessions now, he has needed transfusions a 
couple of weeks later. We are hoping that this will be the last one needed
since 
he doesn't need more chemo.

They tell us that in another month or so they will want to do a series of
low 
dose radiation on the brain to protect the brain from the lung cancer cells 
invading at a future date.  No word yet about surgery for the kidney cancer.
If 
it is not growing, they may hold off on that.
