Hello, Robert:

I would likewise appreciate this information,
especially with respect to Boyce, Virginia. I think
the colors varied by period and have seen them noted
on stanard plans. One color scheme used seems to be
white exterior walls with dark green trim for doors,
door frames, window sashes, and window frames. If
there were raised borders along the base or bump rails
along the waist of the building, these were also dark
green.

On the inside, ceiling and walls were often white.
>From about four feet above the floor around the room,
the lower portion was gray. Wood floors were natural
finish or oiled; concret floors were unpainted or a
slate gray floor paint was used.

As mentioned, any other authoritative references to
color schemes either by period or location would be in
interest to me, too.

Best wishes,

Subject: Norfolk Western Passenger Colors

Hi,

Can anyone give me specific colors and inside details
of a standard Norfolk and Western station? Also, I
would like detailed pictures inside of stations and
also of the items commonly found inside (clocks,
desks, etc.). Trimwork and radiator colors and details
would also be appreciated.

I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone can help,
it would be appreciated.
