Didn't they call that "shipping around the horn" or
something like that before the N&W/Southern merger?
There were four trains a day between Knoxville and
Bristol (158/159 and 185/186) in the '70s, and only
one had any amount of freight on it that connected
with the BR-2, and from the RB-3 etc., I believe.
Hope it's not heading back to those days.

Also, they've been working on the line from Knoxville
to Bristol recently, replacing ties and doing grade
crossing work around Greeneville, etc.
