IN CITY AND COALFIELD
------
Union Depot at St. Paul
The Norfolk and Western and the Carolina, Clinchfield and Ohio are to build a union brick station at St. Paul. The roads have been considering the matter for some time but have only recently agreed on a plan which will be put through as soon as the weather permits. The construction will be in charge of the Norfolk and Western.
------
New Freight Depot
The money for the new freight depot has been allowed and work will be commenced as soon as the plans can be forwarded to this city and requisitions made for the necessary material. The new freight depot will have an entrance leading off Princeton avenue to the offices. The money for the improved roundhouse has also been allowed. The amount reached $36,000 while $15,000 will be put into the freight deport. The plan for the remodeling of the roundhouse calls for an addition all around the present building which will give a little more room in the house [Obviously for longer locomotives.]
