Most were gone within a short time. The opening of the new Elkhorn Tunnel was just the first part of a series of improvements and track realignments which continued into the mid-50's that necessitated the removal of the catenary support structure.

I know that the division was de-electrified after the New Elkhorn tunnel was
completed from my readings, but I was wondering how long it took them to take
down the wires and the supports (bridges?) for the wires?
