Doghouse on Link recording

I often remember the mental image on the Link recording of the train on the
cold morning where he describes the steam and smoke hanging in place in the
air over a curve, and the strikingly strong odor of the head brakeman's
cigar smoke coming back from the doghouse.  It seems that on that morning
the occupant of the doghouse was liked well enough to have the engine crew
turn on his heat lines.  The drawings sent yesterday depict a satisfactory
winter workplace.
