What a great issue! Many thanks to those who contributed to the issue. We have one of the best, high quality publications of all the RRHS.
Also many thanks for the Members Only Bonus. I found it very interesting too and would like to have more items like that to enjoy.
I have a question concerning the consist lists (yellow things) in the Arrow and the Bonus feature and what the designations mean. I'm not familiar with them. I assume "P" is for passenger car, "M" is Mail-Storage and "D" stands for diner. What would "A" & "M" designate?
Amazingly detailed letter about the train by Mr. Claytor. On top of things as usual!
The comment on page 6 of the supplement made me wonder about Southern E-8s being uncommon through Roanoke. As a youngster I visited Roanoke station many times during summer vacations between 1959-1968. I remember seeing green Southern engines which later became black and I definitely got some cab rides in the E-8a units when they would uncouple to add/remove head end cars. I do not remember any FP-7a units on my visits.
The 10/6 sleepers sure weren't very attractive without their stripes and the Pevlar Blue sure isn't inspiring, even when fresh, compared to Tuscan Red.
Again, thanks to all for a great issue and the Bonus!
