B1 Box Cars

The information I have from the 1965 Freight Car Equipment shows that all of the B1a and b were manufactured by Ralston, PR. Stl. Car Co. In 1936-1937 time frame.

 I looked through the docs in the archives for the BI, and there is no information as to the builder(s).

I think those are concrete ties? Maybe that low spot in the middle collects
ballast?
