Signal indication

 There was a strange signal system in effect west of Decatur referred to as MBRC - Manual Block - Remote Control.  Using a Traffic Control panel, the Decatur dispatcher could control the signals, but not the the switches.  The train crew would go to a meeting point, stop, and manually line the switch to the siding.  At the opposite end, usually there was a spring switch.
