There were 16 K-1s that were in service in 1952, but it'd take a bit of work to make a USRA into one of them. Why don't you model a K-2 or K-2a before they were streamlined? There is an article in a back issue of THE ARROW to tell you how to do it.

Were any of the N&W K's in service in 1953 or so that were NOT streamlined? I am thinking of getting one of the Spectrum 4-8-2 units and kit-bashing it to match N&W but need to know if it would be anywhere near historically accurate....
