Looking to Replace My J Class Engine

Jack,

My guess would be greater water capacity but I’m sure someone else on the Mailing List has a better answer. Only the last three J’s (611-613) were paired with a flat top tender. The first eleven J’s (600-610) kept the roll-top tender throughout their careers.
