Speaking about the north end of the Shenandoah Division the most interesting cars I saw in the 1950's were the red/white/blue boxcars with "State of Maine Products" on their sides. Probably Bangor Aroostock or Maine Central. Also the Central of Georgia 50' cars, black with a big silver oval on their sides, two or three cars at a time. Other than that, you name it. Most boxcars were oxide red in the 50's. Almost all the hoppers were N&W in my memory. It's interesting what you can find in N&W videos and vintage photos.

Subject: What road names are appropriate
I finally got around to cataloging all the rolling stock I have, and I realized that most if not all of what I have is for N&W.
What other road names would have had been seen on N&W rails during the 40s-60s? I figure Virginian is a given, and maybe Southern. What else? I'm looking for rolling stock that I can get that will add some variety while still being prototypical for that period.
