[game_preservation] Watermarks and Studio Communication

Devin,

Definitely an interesting situation, with several issues in play.

My first thought is that this sort of need illustrates why
preservation is important, even if the solution is not provided by
preservation activities alone. I mean by that there are also rights
and access issues here. Without attention to those matters
preservation alone is probably not going to be seen as compelling
esp. in the industry.

So yes, I think the general issues of access and rights are essential
for the White paper.

Which brings me to the next logical question: How to start up the
White paper effort?
1. We have a list of people (about 10) who would like to participate
in this effort.
2. The people on the list are scattered about the globe.
3. So, what form of meeting should we employ? Should we open up a
dedicated discussion thread on this list? Then move to some form of
collaborative authorship?
