Thanks, Jeremy, for all your insightful points. On the question of 'why'
isn't this supposed to be the primary issue addressed in the 2008
Whitepaper? There are many reasons that don't necessarily relate to 'what'
to preserve, but are important to the formation of the archive nonetheless.
Just at a quick glance, it looks like context is going to be incredibly
important, and a lot of times this can encompass not only the context of how
it was played (and perhaps viewed 10 years after it was first made) but how
it was created.

Also, regarding digital tape, you think this is good to use in conjunction
with hard drives? And should multiple tapes be used?
