Such environments are extremely specific to the dev house and project.
A good example can be found in the Making of The 7th Guest video that
was a pack-in that came with the game; they used 3ds plus custom
compression tools written by Devine. While you can always get a 486 and
load it with 1993-era 3DS, those compression tools are most likely lost.
