All of these are owned by UT and they are not willing to share, to my knowledge.

And yes, I have asked Warren directly.

Perhaps a letter writing campaign to UT? :)

Hey,

I actually emailed the UT archiver Zach about this (since, no, I don't know Warrens contact details ;-) ), in an attempt to put them up at the Internet Archive. If he can help, then they'll be mirrored there and I'll tell the group :)

I'm downloading the torrent now having missed the original opportunity, but one of the files is incomplete. If anyone can provide the last file, that'd be great, as even if it can't be hosted at the IA for some reason I'd love to watch it ;-)

If anyone knows of other interviews that could be archived (I'm currently working on Kikizo's interviews at the moment) please email the group or me! This is an ongoing thing, of course, so keep it in mind and permission is needed, so I can't go around adding things without asking sadly.

Thanks Alan,

Andrew

Anyhow, I spotted a piece on the RockPaperShotgun site today that talks about Warren Spector having recorded some interviews with various industry luminaries, and the problem that the videos had disappeared due to a clerical mixup. (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/?p=1253 <http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/?p=1253> ) I was thinking it might worthwhile trying to maintain a mirror of that content, in case it should disappear again. That is, we still sort of take for granted that devs are easily accessible, but as evidenced by the recent discussion about memorials, it might be worthwhile archiving some of their thoughts on how the industry has evolved. Just my $.02. - Alan
