Hello, Tristin. Henry Lowood has asked me to step in for this, as he'll be
out of town during GDC. He can attest he has given permission to this.

Let me know if more information is needed.

- *SIG Name*:Game Preservation Sig
http://wiki.igda.org/Game_Preservation_SIG
- *Organizer name & email* (if it's not you): Henry Lowood (CC'd to this)
- *SIG Meeting Description*: From our wiki: he purpose of the *Game
Preservation SIG* is to serve as a meta-resource, hub and community for
those interested in digital game preservation and history. The SIG aims to
be a one-stop-shop for all game preservation related news and projects, and
will work towards setting standards and guidelines for assisting
industry/academia in establishing preservation efforts. -- The Game
Preservation SIG invites everyone interested in the history of the industry
and the history to come share in knowledge of our efforts.
- *Expected Turnout*: 40-50, many more if gamemakers with archives and
collections are made aware of this meeting
- *Rationale*: State your case and tell me why you feel your SIG needs
to be on the list; this shouldn't be based solely on the timing during the
week.

The preservation of the history of games, including artifacts, oral
and written histories, and the work being done by members, is of inherent
value to the attendees of GDC - it is sometimes a matter of simple
awareness, of shared communication, and of provided information. There have
been great strides in just the last year, and bringing this work to the
attention of the GDC attendees will reap great benefits for the industry at
large.

- *Preferences* on day/time of your session, or any day/times you cannot
meet, and we will do our best to accommodate. We may not be able to
accommodate all requests: Prefer Wednesday or Thursday. Understand if it
has to be Friday.
