Hey all,

I hope that 2010 is going well for one and all.

Got some interesting shows coming up in the near future. Before I get
to them, though, I thought I'd remind everyone that I put up a new
free mp3 for people to listen to or download at <http://music.jwgh.org/freemp3.html
> every Monday -- have a look and see what you think!

Here's what I've got for the next week or so:

Sunday January 17 -- DOUBLE DECKER DANCE BAND SHOW
-----------------
WHERE: The Dark Lady, 124 Snow Street, Providence, RI 02903
WHEN: 10 pm - 2 am
COVER: $4

The Double Decker Dance Band, an afro-pop band led by Joseph Paye (I
play second keyboard), will be opening for Mahi Mahi at the Dark Lady,
a gay bar in downtown Providence.

Monday January 18 -- SOLO SHOW
-----------------
WHERE: AS220, 115 Empire Street, Providence, RI
WHEN: 9 pm
COVER: $6

This is the first show I've booked for myself at AS220! I'll be
sharing the bill with the West Eddy Trio, Glasseye, and Jay Gagnon.

Saturday January 23 -- GATHERING OF FIDDLERS AND FISHERMEN #11
-------------------
WHERE: the Common Fence Point Community Hall, 933 Anthony Road,
Portsmouth, RI (Directions:
WHEN: 6:30 pm to late
COVER: $12

This is the annual fundraiser for Common Fence Music. Celtic fiddler
Tiffany Rozenas will be hosting, and there will be lots of other great
performers -- you can see the final lineup here: <http://www.commonfencemusic.org/fandf.html
>

Unfortunately tickets are already sold out. The first time I went I
didn't have tickets and it was unseasonably warm so I hung out by the
door with some friends until enough people left that we were let in,
which worked out OK ... probably not something you want to count on,
though!

I've got other shows booked for January and February -- a Killdevils
show with special guests at Nick-a-Nees, my first show in a casino, a
Songwriters in the Round show, and others -- which I'll be emailing
you about in the future. (As always, you can see everything I've got
booked at <http://music.jwgh.org/gigs.html>.)

See you around,
