[JakeShows] BATTLE OF THE BANDS on Sunday in Worcester, plus some March shows

Hi all,

Last weekend's solo show at the Raven was a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to returning just slightly over a week later!

The details are:


Sunday March 4 - ACOUSTIC KILLDEVILS SHOW

WHEN: 5-9 pm
WHERE: The Raven, 258 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01609
COVER: $5

Chris Monti and I will be competing against Shirley Lewis, Pop In To The Chemist, and Drivin' Blind for a place in the finals.  The music will start promptly at 5 pm. Originally I was told that the band order wouldn't be given out in advance, but then more recently I got a message saying the order will be:

* The Killdevils - 5:00 PM
* Pop In To The Chemist - 6:00 PM
* Drivin' Blind - 7:00 PM
* Shirley Lewis - 8:00 PM

I remember seeing Shirley Lewis doing some great shows at Gilrein's back in the day, and I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone will be playing.  With that said, I hope we win!


Friday March 16 - SOLO SHOW

Sharing the bill with the excellent Worcester-area band the Smile Makers. If you plan to have dinner, we recommend making a reservation.

I say above that I'll be playing solo, but it's possible that I'll be joined by electric and steel guitarist Lenny Amaral.  My fingers are crossed!


Sunday March 18 - SONGWRITERS IN THE ROUND RECORDING SESSION

A live recording session for the next RISA Songwriters in the Round CDs. Be in the studio audience! I should go on around 9:30 pm.
