Gordon,

It appears to me to be a Hill Run dropping down the mountain to Elmore, after taking a cut up to Clarks Gap.

I have early photos that also show the EL-3a's with no platform railings on the lead end. Don't know of hand when they were added.

The Electric Railroaders' Association of New York has produced a series of CD's with images from the ERA's Sprague Library depicting electric streetcars, interurbans, and locomotives. The attached photo is the second one on the VGN that I have posted from this CD.

Several items of historical information need to be documented about the attached photo of a VGN EL-3A electric locomotive from that CD, such as:

What event is depicted in the photo? It appears to be a test or a demo of some type. Anybody know?

Close inspection reveals no railing along the outside edge of the end platform like that which shows up in later pictures. Does anyone know when the VGN applied the platform railing?

The circular "Low Wire" warning sign on the catenary support appears to identify this as Garwood Bridge with the tunnel needing the low wire warning just to the east of the bridge. Can anyone otherwise identify this bridge?
