Deepwater Railway Now Ready to Handle Freight
-----
On yesterday the Norfolk and Western began receiving freight for shipment over the Virginian railway via. Matoaka. This new route means much to the local wholesalers, opening up a large and lucrative territory to their ever-expanding trade. All the large concerns have had men traveling this territory for sometime past and it is expected that the business from this newly developed country will add greatly to the aggregate amount of business done by Bluefielders within the coming year. The connection at Matoaka has been completed and it is possible now to ship freight through to Charleston via this connection with the new road.
