WILL SELECT WATCH INSTEAD OF AUTOMOBILE
------
Memento Planned for Geo. P. Johnson Is Handsome Time Piece

Yesterday's Daily Telegraph said that the railroad men are planning the gift of an automobile to George P. Johnson as a token of their regard for him in case he leaves the road as it is expected he will. An automobile was talked of, but it has since been learned that the railroad men feel that as Mr. Johnson is a railroad man he would prefer a watch and it has been decided that he shall be made a present of one of the handsomest and most durable American watches made, which will be a memento that will last long after an automobile would be in the scrap heap. Mr. Johnson is expected in the city the last of the week.
