Need Help to ID N&W Can

I have to agree with Ken. Maybe a can for holding 600W cylinder oil, the
type of oil that you would use to fill the lubricator. Some of the Nathan
lubricators were in tight spouts and you would have to get up on a ladder to
fill the lubricator.

I have seen cans like this with a small curved spout on the top. They used
to be used to fill the fuel pots on signals and swtich lamps back in the
day.
