Volunteers Needed for 2017 611 Excursions

You are exactly correct in that the staffing for the Greensboro trip is being handled now. When that task is finished, then "your" trips, that is, Petersburg and the Roanoke trips, will be next to be organized.
The logistics in staffing these trips is very time consuming and can be quite complicated. Trying to move volunteers around to suit everyone's schedules and needs, while covering the operational needs can be somewhat of a nightmare! Please hang in there with us.

Yes I did sign up through the "volgistics" site back on Feb 21st. I received a confirmation of my application within a day with the following message ...
"Your application to volunteer for the 2017 611 Excursions has been saved. We appreciate your interest in our volunteer opportunities.  We will review your information and may contact you regarding scheduling, training, and on-board assignments."
I haven't heard anything else since then. It was getting to be a month plus since my sign-up and I have become curious how the process would proceed.
I volunteered for the Cavalier/Lynchburg-Petersburg trips on 5/6 and 5/7. Also both the Powhatan Arrow (Roanoke-Lynchburg) and Pocahontas (Roanoke-Walton) on 5/27 and 5/28.
There is a volunteer sign-in portal from where I checked my stratus a week ago and there wasn't really any update. I will try reapplying as suggested. If they are just getting to filling spots for the Greensboro trip at the end of April, I would guess they just haven't started organizing "my" trips as of yet. Perhaps I am just impatient.
