O and N

Jim, if you get someone to bite on production of a plastic 2-6-6-2 - of any scale - , encourage them to consider leaving the rear engine rigid. There’s no reason to pivot it on such short wheelbase, and besides, pivoting rear engines cause as many overhang issues (cab) as the boiler does on non-pivoting-rear-engine locomotives. More on locomotives with long fireboxes (A’s). 

Side note, this particular issue is the main reason I don’t buy mass-market articulated locomotives! We all have our pet peeves - this one is mine… :)
