water tank

Alex, All,
There appears to be a water tank at the top of the switchback just West of
the power facility which is West of Maybeury (see photos attached).  Was
this water for the railroad or for the community?  Also, what was the exact
location of the turnout for the branching line that lead down into the
valley to Shamokin and the other mines.  Latitude and Longitude or
reference to an existing landmark would be great.
