J.F. Maury of the Virginia & Tennessee RR

I have been researching in the Proceedings of the National Railroad
Convention of 1849, held in St Louis (later popularly styled as the
National Railroad and Telegraph Convention.)

Among the delegates (and the complete list of delegates fill eight pages !
) was one J. F. Maury, representing the Board of Directors of the Virginia
& Tennessee Railroad.

I thought perhaps J.F. Maury might be a near relative of Matthew Fontaine
Maury (b. Fredericksburg 1806, d. Lexington 1863,) distinguished naval
Commander from a prominent Colonial Virginia family, and later diplomat for
the Confederate States of America, for whom a river in Virginia is named.
But Ancestry.com shows no J.F. Maury in the tree of Matthew Fontaine Maury.

Does anyone know the details of J.F. Maury of the Virginia & Tennessee RR ?
