arrow and baggage cars

The combines I saw all had  a rounded roof but were not “streamlined” like the other cars in the Arrow.

The time this occurred may have varied depending upon where on the route of the Arrow one observed the train.

I know that in Lynchburg a combine car began to regularly appear as the first car in the consist in the late 1950s. I don’t recall a full baggage/mail/express car in the consist there  until the mid 1960s.
