Tom should be particularly interested, as he favors the MPL over the LGPL for reasons that I have not really understood.

I have started to lean in favor of BSD licenses over the LGPL for most open source libraries. I think the GPL is great for applications developed and maintained completely by volunteers, but that it greatly discourages commercial contributions from companies who give back as much as they benefit from it.
