[Slowhand] Clapton - Marsalis Talk

I too am glad to see the digest spinning back up. I was a bit dismayed that
my post was ignored when I brought up the Clapton/Marsalis show and that it
took DeltaNick to bring it up to spark conversation.

Lesson learned.

Subject: [Slowhand] Marsalis - Clapton
Did anybody else trek out to the theater last night to see this
collaboration? It was terrific. EC and Wynton Marsalis seemed to really
enjoy themselves.

They played, I believe 10 songs. Some of the stand outs were Fourty-Four,
Joe Turner's Blues, The Last Time, Joliet Bound, sung by sizzling trombone
player (how often do you get to say that?) Chris Crenshaw and Corrine
Corrina as the encore. The even busted out a version of Layla.

This was a great hour or so of music and will be a definite buy for me when
released on blu-ray.
