This primarily affects State Farm and AllState Insurance policy holders.

When you speak with your adjustor, find out what company they work for. If
it is Pilot Casuality Adjustors, ask them how long they have been on the
job. Apparently Pilot has hired a lot of ex-employees (blackjack dealers,
etc) of Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi and after six days of training,
majority of which was on how to do paperwork, sent them out to start
inspecting homes. If you are assigned one of these adjustors, I advise you
to ask for a new adjustor.

When you speak with your flood insurance adjustor, ask if they are certified
by the National Flood Insurance Plan (NFIP). If they are not certified, ask
for a new adjustor.

Word on the street is that these "adjustors" have been instructed to mark
any home that does not have busted windows or torn roofs as habitable.

For the record, I do not think it is State Farm or AllState that is giving
the adjustors these instructions. I believe it to be coming from the
management of Pilot Casuality.
