Governor Blanco to launch bridge loan program for Louisiana businesses
impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and/or Rita 

What:   
Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco will announce the details of a new state
bridge loan program for small businesses impacted by the recent hurricanes.
The program will be secured by the state's $10 million Rapid Response Fund
and will act as a "gap funding" for businesses awaiting SBA loan approval,
insurance reimbursement or other means of financial assistance.

Governor Blanco, representatives from Louisiana Economic Development (LED)
and the Louisiana Public Finance Authority (LPFA)
