Hello,
My name is Helen and I work for BBC television in London. We are making
a documentary about Hurricane Katrina and the future of New Orleans. We
will be in the city filming from November 5th through 18th.

Our programme about Hurricane Katrina will look forward to the future
and be far more than just an account of the catastrophe. We want to
look at how, with the rebuilding and creation of homes for those that
have lost theirs, the culture of the city can rise again.

I know that the situation in St. Bernard Parish has not been represented
particularly well by the media and we are hoping to change that. We know
that it was the worst affected Parish and many thousands of people have
lost their homes. We would like to film the damage that the flood and
the hurricane have caused to people's homes but we would also like to
get people's views on the future of the city and their local area.

If you have lost your home because of the recent flooding and are now
living with friends or in temporary accommodation and you would like to
tell us your story and your views on the future of St. Bernard Parish
and New Orleans, please get in touch.

Please email: helen.lambourne at bbc.co.uk with a telephone number and I
will ring you back.
I look forward to talking to you.
Many thanks,
Helen
